Introducing the First Woman to Receive an NCAA Football Scholarship

A high school senior from Arizona has just become the first woman to land an NCAA football scholarship.

Becca Longo a was stand-out kicker for her high school team, hitting 30 of 33 extra points, and will attend Adams State University in Colorado, which plays Division II football. Though several women have played at the college level, none have been on scholarship.

She told People magazine, “It didn’t really kick in until a couple hours after, I just thought I was signing a piece of paper to go play the sport I love again. Even right now, I’m still shocked.”

That is the question I came away with after watching Netflix’s newest hit 13 Reasons Why. Why did I have the privilege of surviving an illness that so many others die from?

When beginning the show, I was skeptical about whether the series was going to be realistic and if its attempt at talking about a hard subject would only glorify teen suicide in the way that so many other attempts have done. I wondered if it would only serve as a horrible trigger for some and possibly do more harm than good. But as I watched, its authenticity struck a chord in me. It served as a sad picture of what could have been in my life, since I struggled with depression for years.

Former One Direction heartthrob, budding actor and Vodafone Big Top 40 chart-topper Harry Styles is heading on his first world tour as a solo star.

The ‘Sign Of The Times’ singer has already revealed that his debut album will drop in May, and his latest Tweet has confirmed that he’ll be touring the globe as part of its promotion!

The tour starts in San Francisco on 19th September, with the European leg kicking off in Paris this October. He’ll be heading to his home country of the UK for special shows in Manchester and Glasgow, as well as two nights at London’s Eventim Apollo.
