Rich Homie Quan
Musician / Bands 09 May 17 0
Dequantes Lamar dropped the summer hip-hop hit “Type of Way” in 2013 under his teenage nickname, Rich Homie Quan. He first considered a career in professional baseball, but in 2008, the Atlanta native dropped the single “Stay Down” featuring the Stack Money Boyz. Things came to a halt when he landed in jail for a year on burglary charges, but upon his release in 2011, Quan began to make up for lost time. Hooking up with the Atlanta crew Loyalty Ova Royalties and becoming quick friends with member CEO Teezy came next, but Teezy’s untimely death later in the year put a stop to Quan’s planned mixtape debut. He would re-emerge a year later on the T.I.G. label and drop the mixtapes I Go in on Every Song plus Still Goin’ In. The year 2013 began with a tour opening for Trinidad James, along with a guest appearance on Gucci Mane’s Trap House 3 album. In the summer, he dropped the infectious club track “Type of Way,” which cracked Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. Rich Homie Quan released a fistful of mixtapes, and in 2016 he landed a record deal with Motown. March 2017 saw the release of the single “Replay,” a preview of the upcoming album Rich as in Spirit. The following month, the rapper dropped the mixtape Back to the Basics, his debut release for Motown. ~ David Jeffries

Born on the fourth of July, 1995, and hailing from Dallas, Texas, Post Malone gained fame after releasing the single “White Iverson” on his SoundCloud in February of 2015.
Contrary to popular belief, his stage name is not a reference to basketball player Karl Malone. In an interview with the Breakfast Club, Malone stated that “Post is my last name, and I just made Malone up.”
Post discussed releasing a debut album in March of 2016, but after various setbacks the album never came to fruition. In it’s place, on May 12th, 2016, he released his first mixtape, August 26th to critical acclaim.
Finally, a tracklist and release date were released for Stoney, Post Malone’s debut album. It finally dropped on December 9th, 2016.

Chris Brown
Musician / Bands 09 May 17 0
Grammy winning R&B singer, rapper, dancer, graffiti artist, illustrator and the first male lead artist to have his debut single top the Billboard Hot 100 in 8 years with Run It! feat. Juelz Santana, 2005, Breezy is undoubtedly a multifaceted artist. To add to this, he is the father of Royalty, a princess and the inspiration for his 7th studio album “Royalty”.
It’s undeniable his ability as a musician, dancer and all-round entertainer. At the 54th Annual Grammy Awards (February 12th, 2012) his 4th studio album F.A.M.E. won 2011 – Best R&B Album and a huge number of other awards and nominations ranging from his debut as a 16 year old in 2005 to his most recent projects.
Brown’s career is long-lived, pristine and all about his music with hits such as “Turn Up The Music”, “Fine China” and successful collaborations with Kid Ink on his hit “Show Me” and Sevyn Streeter on “It Won’t Stop (Remix)” in recent years.
His sixth album X was due to be released near to the end of 2013 but was pushed back due to (here we go again) Chris having to attend to his legal troubles and serve a stint in rehab. It was eventually released during the summer of 2014. Following X, Chris and Tyga released the follow up to their 2010 mixtape Fan of a Fan at the beginning of 2015, titled Fan of a Fan: The Album. The album spawned the hits “Ayo” and “Bitches N Marijuana”.
After being in the music industry for over 10 years, Chris is accustomed to being in the limelight and is here to stay

Drake
Musician / Bands 09 May 17 0
Aubrey Drake Graham is part of a generation of new rappers, along with Wiz Khalifa, Kid Cudi and others, who came up through internet mixtapes. Drizzy put out three mixtapes from 2006 to 2009. These mixtapes got him the attention of Lil Wayne, and spawned the hit singles “Forever” and “Best I Ever Had,” the latter coming from his critically acclaimed mixtape So Far Gone. During this period, Drake also made a slew of guest appearances on tracks by artists from DJ Khaled to Jay-Z.
After years without a record deal, Drake finally signed to Lil Wayne’s Young Money Entertainment label in 2009. And in 2010, Drake released his debut album Thank Me Later. His second album, Take Care, dropped in November 2011 and ultimately led to celebration with his crew for earning his first Grammy Award (for Best Rap Album). The album has been certified 4x platinum as of March 29, 2016. His third project, Nothing Was The Same, was released September 24th, 2013. Two years later on February 12, 2015, Drake released If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late. Just months after that, he released a collaborative mixtape with American rapper Future, called What A Time To Be Alive. His fourth studio album, Views, was released on April 29, 2016.
Following the release of Views, Drake announced the release of his new Mixtape – More Life on OVOSOUND Radio.
Drizzy has also been involved in many beefs, including ones with Common and Tyga. His most eventful beef was with Philadelphia rapper Meek Mill. This started the whole conspiracy over “Drake has a ghost writer.” Drake fired back immediately with “Charged Up” and with no response from Meek, he dropped another diss track four days later titled “Back to Back.” Meek then released his diss track titled “Wanna Know.” There was no declared “winner,” but Drake was nominated for a Grammy for “Best Rap Performance” for “Back to Back.”

Adele
Musician / Bands 05 Jun 16 0
When the U.K. press began dubbing Adele “the next Amy Winehouse” in late 2007, the hype didn’t touch upon the singer/songwriter influence found in the Londoner’s music. Influenced by Roberta Flack and Suzanne Vega as much as Jill Scott, Adele soon became a phenomenon in her own right; her second album, 21, eventually sold an estimated 30 million copies worldwide, making her one of the few sales successes in an age of digital streaming. Adele first made an impression in 2006 when her demo landed…
